In Memoriam
Br. Richard P. May, a skilled carpenter and bookkeeper, died Nov. 1, 2014 in Denver, Colo.. He was 71 years of age and had been a Jesuit for 50 years.

Fr. Bill Harmless, a creative scholar and dynamic teacher, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Oct. 14, 2014, in Omaha, Neb., near the campus of Creighton University where he taught.

Fr. Ernest “E.J.” Jacques, a teacher, chaplain and pastor, died Oct. 8, 2014, in New Orleans. He was 80 years old, a Jesuit for 61 years and a priest for 48 years.

There are 66 Jesuit parishes and 22 retreat centers in the United States. Jesuit parishes are situated in inner cities, suburbs, rural outposts and on college campuses and Native American reservations. Jesuit retreat centers can be found in places ranging from New England's rocky coast to the foothills of the Rockies and the rustic trails of Santa Clara Valley. They are part of urban landscapes, too.
