The White House Jesuit Retreat Center is located on a beautiful 80-acre campus on the bluffs of the Mississippi River in St. Louis. In their free time, retreatants may explore the beautiful campus, walk the Way of the Cross and pray at the shrines of the Sacred Heart, the Holy Family, Our Lady and St. Joseph.
The center has 75 acres of grounds and woods available for quiet meditation, and there 80 individual rooms for retreatants, each with its own bathroom and shower. All meals are served family style in the beautiful dining hall.
The White House is an 88-year-old facility with a living tradition, welcoming people of all faiths. The center offers men’s retreats, women’s retreats, two-day co-ed retreats and recovery retreats year-round. The center offers three-day preached retreats throughout the year, with four or five priests available for private conferences and celebration of the sacraments of reconciliation and anointing of the sick. Mass is celebrated each day, and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is offered nightly.
White House also offers convenient two-day weekend retreats open to both women and men. These retreats begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday afternoon and are a great option for those who can’t take off work to attend a retreat.
The Ignatian Spirituality Program of Denver offers Ignatian group retreats, individual spiritual direction, the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, and trains spiritual directors and guides of the Spiritual Exercises.
