Southern University Students in Service at Immaculate Conception Parish

As the school year at Southern University (Baton Rouge, La.), draws to a close, and exams loom, students from Southern serve as liturgical ministers at the Sunday Eucharist at Immaculate Conception Parish on the Sunday after Easter.

Back Row: Joell DeJean, Tiara Johnson,
Dumarius Coleman, Channing Evans and Kristopher Goodly.

Students participated as lectors, Eucharistic ministers and as part of the music ministry. At the end of Mass, students gathered on the steps of the sanctuary while we prayed for the successful completion of the semester.

The parish focuses on building relationships with students and providing a ministry of presence for them.

The Immaculate Conception Church family is enriched by the presence and participation of the Southern University students.
