Jesuit Spirituality Center Welcomes Diocesan Seminarians
Jan. 9, 2018 - The week of January 8-12, the Jesuit Spirituality Center at St. Charles College in Grand Coteau, La., welcomed 42 diocesan seminarians from Notre Dame Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in New Orleans for their annual retreat.
The second-year theologians made individually directed retreats under the direction of Jesuit Fathers Anthony Ostini, Hernando Ramirez, John (Jack) Callahan, Andrew Kirschman and Michael Dooley.
The third-year theologians were given a preached retreat by the leader of the
Community of Jesus Crucified, Fr. Michael Champagne, CJC.
Father Earl Muller, SJ, a member of the USA Central and Southern Province, serves as a spiritual director and scholar in residence at the seminary and accompanied the seminarians.

Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans is the third largest diocesan seminary in the country. It serves the greater Gulf-South region of Catholic dioceses and offers Masters degrees in Divinity and Theology. Notre Dame Seminary also teaches and trains those in training to be permanent deacons and future religious directors of parishes and Catholic schools.
March 29, 2018 - Father Edward P. Buvens, SJ, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Pavilion in Grand Coteau, La. He was 83 years old, a Jesuit for 60 years and a priest for 48 years.
