Father Voss was assigned to Yoro, Honduras in 1973 and has spent the rest of his ministerial career in parishes in Yoro. During all these years, besides the work with Delegates of the Word, catechists, marriage encounters, courses and retreats, Fr. Voss dedicated himself to prison ministry and promotion of the Legion of Mary within the parish and in the other parishes of the mission or diocese. In the Jesuit community, his skill as a baker was demonstrated in all the cakes, cookies and Danish pastries he baked for everyone. What the Honduran people appreciated most was the life of holiness and sanctity that Fr. Voss seemed to radiate wherever he was. He returned to the U.S. in 2017, as his declining health dictated his retirement from active ministry.
