March 26, 2020 Update: The tentative date for return to the office is now April 22. Province staff are working from home and will respond to calls and emails as much as possible.
March 17, 2020 – Out of concern for the well-being of Jesuits and province staff, Fr. Provincial Ronald A. Mercier, SJ, has decided to close the offices of the USA Central and Southern Province, effective March 18. The closure is in effect until Wednesday, April 1.
For weeks, Fr. Mercier and his staff have been monitoring the ever-evolving situation with the Coronavirus pandemic. The health and safety of the province’s senior members have been a foremost concern, and procedures are in place to protect them. Visitors are not allowed at the elder care residences, and the Jesuits are restricted from any non-essential appointments.
All staff and members of the province have been advised to postpone travel.
Province employees will work from their homes. some personnel will be in the office periodically, but there will undoubtedly be an interruption in some services. We ask for your patience during these extraordinary times.
The Jesuits encourage friends and donors to be mindful of their spiritual and emotional well-being. A list of online Ignatian Spirituality resources is available through this site. Many Jesuit apostolates are offering online Masses, including (all times Central Time unless otherwise specified):

July 21, 2020 - The priestly ordinations of Jesuits David Lugo and Matthew Stewart were postponed from June 13 to August 15. While they wait, they shared a few reflections on the delay and this extraordinary time.
June 22, 2020 – During the coronavirus pandemic, the Thensted Center in Grand Coteau, La., refocused its mission to distribute food bags, frozen prepared dinners and hygiene items/household cleaning supplies to those in need.

The Ignatian Spirituality Center of Kansas City gives, fosters, and witnesses to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola by giving the Spiritual Exercises in various forms, offering ongoing formation in Ignatian spirituality and discernment, and training prayer guides to give the Spiritual Exercises.
