Father Walter T. Sidney, SJ
Fr. Walter T. Sidney, SJ, 68, is the rector of the Jesuit community at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. He entered the Society of Jesus in St. Louis in 1966 and was ordained a priest in 1978 by Bishop George Gottwald at St. Francis Xavier College Church in St. Louis. He spent much of his career in education. A St. Louis native, he served for many years at De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis, teaching, directing its pastoral program and serving as its president. He served as president of Regis Jesuit High School in Denver, 1995-2006. He also taught at St. John’s College in Belize City, Belize, and directed its pastoral program. Fr. Sidney earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Saint Louis University, 1971; a Master’s in European history from SLU, 1972; and a Master of Divinity in theology from Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, Calif., 1978.

The Ignatian Spirituality Program of Denver offers Ignatian group retreats, individual spiritual direction, the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, and trains spiritual directors and guides of the Spiritual Exercises.
